BETA GPS Breadcrumb Tracking

Recently added to SearchPatterns Pro Air, and now included in Sea as well, is the ability to track your GPS breadcrumbs and export it as a .GPX file into other apps on your iOS device (like Air Navigation Pro or MotionX GPS) or email the files to your computer and open them in Goole Earth for example.

SearchPatterns Pro Sea

SearchPatterns Pro Sea has been submitted and will be released sometime next week hopefully.
It includes a 'new' pattern called "Oil Field" for our marine friends.
It has different parameter values to reflect that of vessels on the water as opposed to aircraft.

As I do not conduct SAR on the water at all, should you have any suggestions/comments/corrections, please let me know!

v2.4 SearchPatterns Pro Air submitted

Watch for the new update coming soon.  Includes much requested Landscape Full Screen Map! - Looks especially good on the iPad!!!  Plus the extra real-estate on the iPhone 5 is nice.

Updates galore!

Sorry everyone, I've been really behind on posting updates etc to the site!

SearchPatterns Pro Air and ColdAltitude have both been updated for iPhone 5 and iOS 6.  There is NO compatibility issues with using the new Apple maps instead of Google maps, so don't worry!

I will have updated screenshots/info eventually.  The most current info can be found on iTunes (but those pictures need updating too!).

Fixes Coming - PRO Air

Alright, so an update has been submitted to Apple that includes the ability to clear the map of pins/tracks (so no more having to quit/relaunch the app!!!) and there's a custom iPad keyboard as well.
Watch for the update soon, it's a good one!

Pro Air 'bugs'

As I have not yet created an iPad only keyboard, the default keyboard includes decimal points so the user can enter decimals... this was not the intention!  Should you enter decimals into the entry fields, you will find the results are messed up.  Please stick to using whole numbers for now.

If the map doesn't display any visual information, that's probably because you're not connected to the internet.  It behaves the same way as the Maps app that it requires internet.  Should you not be connected, it can still display the CSP and other pins, as well as the drawn pattern.

In order to clear the map, you have to quit the app and relaunch.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Obtain the latest METAR & TAF for your approach airport and set the current temperature with the press of a button!

***There is a known bug for v3.0 that makes the app crash under a specific circumstance - only when you've never entered an airport ident and you click on that field before clicking on the approach description.  To solve, click the approach description first, then click on airport ident and enter one.  It won't crash again.

An update has already been submitted and will be posted as soon as Apple approves it.
